I kicked off January by watching a few films that have been on my list for months. Then I got caught up in settling into a new job and spent more time reading, as I have a growing collection of fantastic but unread books piling up in my room, so films kind of took a backseat.
As it turns out January’s film list is something of a quality not quantity compilation. Apart from MI: Rogue Nation and Mona Lisa Smile, but you know, the exception proves the rule, and they were still very enjoyable.
I watched a lot of films last year but I still managed to miss out on a bunch of great releases (despite working in a cinema for most of the year…) Thinking about the films I didn’t see, got me thinking about some older films that I keep saying I really, really, really want to see but still haven’t got around to.
So I made a list (of course) of films to watch this year, and I’m damned if I’m going not going to finally see them. I’ll be sharing my thoughts here, so if you fancy reading some rambling thoughts on films and appreciate a good list, check back to see how I’m getting on. I haven’t listed any films coming out this year, because that’s probably another list in itself..
So this is the month where I reveal the less-than-cool side of my film tastes. The side that unashamedly likes Confessions of a Shopaholic even though I know it’s bad. Not that I watched that this month, but only because it’s not on Netflix anymore. So here goes, let’s hope I manage to keep some film cred?
